Parade Themes

Each year the Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade has a different theme. The theme may reflect our Irish heritage, our Kansas City heritage or may even build upon current events. In the fall before the next year’s parade, the Parade Committee begins throwing around many different ideas for the upcoming parade’s theme. After several weeks of difficult deliberations, white smoke appears from the roof of Kelly’s in Westport signifying that the theme has been chosen. Not really, but…you get the idea.
