Parade Application

The Annual Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade will kickoff Sunday, March 17, 2024 at 11:00 am. The Parade has become Kansas City’s largest single-day civic event, as well as one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day Parades in the nation. Tens of thousands of onlookers line the streets to see the hundreds of Irish Floats, Bands, Families, Organizations, Business entries and others celebrate the Feast Day of St. Patrick and our Irish Heritage.

The objective of the Kansas City St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee is to successfully present the Parade in a safe, entertaining and enjoyable manner for all who attend. Our focus is on the families and thousands of children lining the streets of Kansas City to celebrate the heritage and tradition of the Irish in America on St. Patrick’s Day.

We require each entrant to reflect the parade theme and decorate their entry appropriately in keeping with Irish tradition and our patron saint, St. Patrick. All entrants must abide by the rules, application requirements and deadline. You must provide proof of insurance and fill out the description paragraph about your entry. The detailed description assists in processing your application and allows us to ensure that your entry meets the criteria and standards set out for the Parade. The description also helps during the telecast.

Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Payment and proof of insurance must accompany this application. Applications & payment must be entered by the March 1, 2024 deadline in order to be considered. A parade division head will contact you to provide additional details concerning the mandatory meeting for all entries, held just prior to parade day.
